Guest Post (La-A Coming Out)

So I was suppose to have a guest post here by my friend La-a (pronounced Ladasha), but the video I took of La-A is corrupt on my camera and I can't get it off so she told me to just type her story in.

"Hi, my name is La-A (pronounced La dash ah).  I was born on August 23^rd 1989 birthed by my parants Monika and Darien Brodenski.  You might think that I am a man…however you would be sadly mistaken if you think so.

I have a story that I need to share, I haven’t told many people this story, because when I tell people this story they always laugh at me…like the people did in middle school.

Those were terrible times, but then again….those times were simpler.

It all started back in 2002 when I was in 7^th grade, and I realized that I was not like the other children on the playground. One day during gym class, it was me and my bestfriend Nicole and the entire class was outside on the track….walking…..in the heat……it was about 85 outside…..my weave was coming out…….it was tragic….i looked a hot mess.

ANYWAY THAT’S NOT THE POINT, we were walking around the track, when we just so happened to stumble upon a group of girls that I just DID NOT LIKE….It was Latisha (pronounced la tee sha) and the Naps (that’s what her crew was called)

Anyway, Latisha and the Naps decided they wanted to start beef, and clearly they didn’t know who they were talking to….The tripped me while I was walking…and I fell…and they laughed…..then they said to me “oooh girl…aren’t you use to be being on your knees” and it angered me so much…it boiled inside of me….and then I said “I AM A LESBIAN!!!!!!!!!!!” I was terrified….it was silent all around me…..even Nicole stopped talking because she was shocked that I had mentioned it to everybody.

I tried to take it back, but then I realized….it was too late. Latisha and the Naps rose up and………………. CELEBRATED because I had finally came out….then they let me join their club. Naps Gone Wild…..and that’s the end of that story."

The video was much more entertaining than reading it. I may have to call upon her again and re-record the guest post. For now. Just read and imagine a black girl with blonde hair  telling this story!

Marriage Equality

Hello everyone one!

SonnyJ here and I'm going to briefly talk about what has been going on lately in the news.  Now, because of my daily schedule I'm actually behind on everything, but the one thing that I do know is that everything going on in the news has to do with marriage equality.

I don't like to talk about this subject much because it angers me to hear close minded individuals speak.

I absolutely LOVE both of these pictures. The thing about marriage equality is it's close minded individuals who are living in the past who can't accept the fact that some people are just different! (See why I don't like to speak about it...let's continue the rant shall we?)

Here's how I see it...I don't want it to be called something different, I don't want to have to have my own group and be singled out. NO PEOPLE! This is not okay! I'm no different from you, Bobby, Joe, and/or Sue (Sue is a lesbian by the way) (don't ask me who Sue, Bobby and/or Joe is either).

What really burns my butter about the entire situation (and I'm not exactly sure what's being said in the news considering the fact I haven't seen a TV in a few weeks, i'm speaking more about equality in general and marriage equality) there are people who will sit there and claim that somewhere in the Bible  it says being gay and all is a sin. SHOW ME THE VERSE, SHOW ME HOE!!

OKAY, LETS CUT TO THE CHASE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE ALLOWED RIGHTS AND I NOT BE? DOES THAT SEEM FAIR? NO IT DOES NOT. I WILL STOP AT NOTHING UNTIL EVERYONE IN THIS COUNTRY OF THE SO CALLED "LAND OF THE FREE" HAS THE SAME RIGHTS AS HIS NEXT DOOR NEIGHBOR.

And now I will get off my soapbox, and I want everyone to have a great Easter, and be on the look out for my Guest Post!

Do You Have A Story You Need To Share?

Hey everyone,

Sonny J here, now today's post is going to be more directed towards those few individuals who have something that they need to share. It may not be their time now, but eventually you have to share it because keeping things locked inside for too long can damage you.  So, below is a video of my story, it's something that I've never openly shared, but I decided to write it down and share it through a video.


This is my coming out story, and I've never officially came out, but the next few blog post will be about coming out, and coming to terms with yourself. So check out my video below!

Equality House Being Built Across from WBC

I have another post about the Westboro Baptist Church! My last post was about how the founder of the Westboro Baptist Church (Now annotated as WBC) could possibly be gay. This time I was scanning the Huffington Post's Gay Voices when ANOTHER article popped up and caught my attention

There was a gentleman who bought a house directly across from the street from the WBC, and he's in the process of painting the outside of the house the colors that are the Gay Pride flag. See the picture below.

Now to be honest, even though the author of the article said that the reason the guy, whose name is Aaron, is doing this not in retaliation of the anti-gay church's belief's. If this was me, I would've have totally painted the house in NEON gay pride colors, and then put up a huge gay pride flag, blast some Katy Perry and go do a funny dance in the front yard EVERY time the church had a service.

If I didn't do that, I would probably just sit on the front porch rocking back and forth reading my HOMOSEXUAL BOOKS.  I'm not bitter people...I promise.....Okay well maybe I'm a little bitter

Anyway, check out the article for yourself, and I have a question for you, How do you think this house popping up across the street from the WBC will affect them?

Founder of Westboro Baptist Church...Gay!?

Hello everybody,

SonnyJ here,

Today I won't have a vLog because my camera battery died and the one on my computer isn't good enough to actually make a video with (well unless I'm in good lighting)

Anyways, I was reading an article on Gay Voices, and it was about how the founder of the Westboro Baptist Church may be gay.   As we all know, the Westboro Baptist Church is in my eyes not even a church, but a hate group that consist of about 40 people. They will show up at funerals for soldiers, and gay rallies attempting to promote they hate-filled ways amongst everyone.

They're really known for the anti-gay movement, and that's one of the things that burns my butter when I speak about the Westboro Baptist Church. I'm still trying to figure out why they are still even here, you'd think that Russia or China would've aimed a missile at them and blown them off the map!


Now, you'll have to go read the article for yourself, but I just wanted to talk about the fact that how true this may (or may not) be! As you may have heard when you were going through high school "people who hate gays, probably are gay" and then you shrugged it off but a few years after you graduate high school that one kid who hated you (if you're gay) came out of the closet. Yeah! I've seen it happen.

I can't explain it, but I mean, as kids we experiment. I know that I did, but I knew way before I started experimented that I was gay. (although I didn't know what it was called)


There's not really a message here,  I was just really surprised when I read this article. I never have thought this yet about the Westboro Baptist Church founder....HEY! Maybe all the people in the congregation are gay!!!! 0_o

You never know......but for now, I must end and let you be the judge of it all. I'll leave you with a question, What's your take on the article about the founder of the Westboro Church possibly being gay?

Bullying

Hey Everyone! Sonny J Here, and this time I'm bringing you another blog post, but this one is related to the bullying, and I actually have spoken many times on bullying one of my past blog post was actually about how words do hurt and in the clip below I talk more in depth about it.

It's another vLog and it applies to everyone. I use it specifically here because those in the LGBT community including myself are being or have been bullied at some point in their life because of who we are.
